Pauline Adkins

Pauline Adkins, age 80 of Pineville, KY departed this life on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Saint Joseph London. She was born on August 29, 1943, in Wilkesboro, North Carolina to the late John Marlow and Sally Elizabeth Kilby. Pauline loved arts, crafts and flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Adkins; daughter Sandra Kaye Thomas; grandson Freddie Daniels and stepson Gary Adkins.

Survivors include her daughters, Marie Ann (Fred) Daniels and Mary Louise Owens; grandchildren Crystal Kirkland, Robert (Jamie) Daniels, Ashley Owens, Justin (Devon) Owens, Casey Thomas, and Austin Thomas; great-grandchildren Amber, Jared, Devin, Cameron, Ariel, Brodyn, Hunter, Gunner, Easton, and Haylee; great-great grandchildren Joycelynn and Rylan; sisters Evelyn Hensley and Magdelene Smallwood; stepchildren Penny Adkins, Kim Adkins, Chris Adkins, and Danny Adkins. The family would like to give special thanks to special friends and housekeepers Carolyn and Darlene, Horizon Adult Daycare Amber Saylor, and crew.

Funeral services will be on Sunday October 22, 2023, at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home at 2PM with Rev. James Griffin; burial will follow in Owens Hollow Cemetery, Gray, KY with Justin Owens, Austin Thomas, Robert Daniels, Derrick Gray, James Lawson, and Antonio Zachary serving as pallbearers and Fred Daniels Jr., and Tony Owens as Honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends after 12 noon on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home until the funeral hour at 2PM. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Adkins family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
