Brenda Collett

Mrs. Brenda Gail Carroll Collett, 67, a resident of Middlesboro, KY, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 2, 2025 with her children by her side. She was born on April 16, 1957 in Wooster, OH to the late Edgar and Abbie Carroll. Brenda was a talented seamstress who took great pride in her work. She loved watching Hallmark Christmas movies and enjoyed trips to the beach, often collecting unique seashells as keepsakes to remember her travels. Above all, she cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren.Brenda was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend to all those who knew her. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woody Collett, and brother, Eddie Carroll, and brother-in-law, David Crockett. 

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted children, Charity Hayes and husband, Bill, Josh Collett and wife, Angela, and Gracie Collett; cherished grandchildren; Abbie Collett, Sofie Collett, Brooklyn Collett, John Hayes, and Annison Hayes; brother, Kevin Carroll and wife, Angela; sisters, Kay Crockett, Mary Barnett and husband, Rick, Sherry Day and Kim Mike; best friend, Deborah Rogers; a host of nieces, nephews; among other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 8PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Smith and Rev. Ron Howard with music provided by Benny Howard. Entombment will follow on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Green Hills Memorial Garden Cemetery, Middlesboro, KY. The family and friends will meet at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home at 12 Noon to travel together in procession. Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Crockett, Justin Taylor, Tanner Mike, Trevor Mike, Daniel Hayes, Jessie Allen, Greg Hurst, Jacob Roan and Jake Hampton. 

The family will receive friends after 6PM on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home until the funeral hour at 8PM. 

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Gateway Christian school.
