Gail Brock

Gail Brock, age 73 of Stoney Fork, KY departed this life, December 29, 2021 at North Knoxville Medical Center, Knoxville, TN. She was born May 25, 1948 in Pineville, KY to the late Cam and Alma Harron Lefevers. Gail had worked at the Bell County Extension Office for 15 years and recently as a seamstress at SEKRI ; she loved to sew, cook and bake. Gail was a member at Mill Creek Baptist Church. She was so loved by all and everyone called her “Mother”.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Harve Couch, nephew-in-law Vernon Collett and great-great niece, Kristin Caruso.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Johnnie Brock; son John Greg Brock; beloved granddaughter, Lexie Brock; sisters, Carolyn Sue Couch and Lawanda Brock; special daughter-in-law, Jen Taylor; special nieces and nephews, Pam Collett, Michael Brock, Jan Caruso, Stacy Maggard, Jason Couch, Amanda Kaup, Abbie Wilder, Hunter Collett, Isaac Collett, Hannah Collett, Justin Caruso, Mark Collett and Heather Collett; great-nephew, Jared Moore; special brothers-in-law Jack Brock of Brown Co, IN and George Brock of Fulton, KY; special nurse, Shawyiee; a host of many, many friends.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 1PM at Mill Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Collett and Rev. Jeremy Sanders; music will be provided by Julie Goodin and Steven Brock; burial will follow in the Dewey M and Cecil M Brock Cemetery, Kettle Island, KY with Steven Books and nephews and great-nephews serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends after 5PM on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Mill Creek Baptist Church. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Brock family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
