Lester "Les" Burkes

Lester "Les" Mae Burkes age 77 a resident of Middleboro, KY went to her heavenly home surrounded by her children and family at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN on Wednesday February 22, 2017. She was born July 2, 1939 to the late George Washington Gregory and Sarah Jane Warren Gregory. She was a believer in the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Otis Gregory and Wilburn Gregory.

Survivors include her husband Martin Burkes; daughters Connie (Raymond) Saylor, Sandra (Michael) Webb and Pam (Mike) Sutton; son Shawn (Missy) Reedy; sisters Mary Fuson and Pearl Newport; brother Warren Gregory; grandchildren Joshua Saylor, Jessica Saylor Scott, Alan Webb, Camille Webb Hall, Chelsea Sutton Thacker, Jacob Sutton, Ryan Reedy, Alex Reedy and Lucas Reedy; great-grandchildren Adyson Scott and Rayleigh Scott and Jackson Hall.

Funeral Services will be 8PM Friday February 24, 2017 at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Sutton and Rev. Mark Sutton officiating; interment will be 12 noon Saturday February 25, 2017 at Green Hills Cemetery; Middlesboro, KY; pallbearers will be Josh Saylor, Bryan Thacker, Chad Scott, Brandon Hall, Jacob Sutton, Ryan Reedy, Alex Reedy and Alan Webb. The family would like to thank Dr. Martha Combs Woolum and Pineville Dialysis Staff.

The family will receive friends Friday February 24, 2017 after 5 PM until the funeral hour at 8PM here at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home
