Ike Edmondson

Ike Edmondson, age 89 of Pineville, KY went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 9, 2023. He was born on July 23, 1934, in Bell County, KY to the late John Harve and Florida Webb Edmondson. Ike was a believer in the Baptist faith and was a member at Hosman Baptist Church; he loved gospel music, fishing, C.B radios, jaw jacking and old westerns.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie Mae Edmondson; sons George Edmondson and Gary Wayne Edmondson; brothers Frank Edmondson, James Edmondson, and Perry Edmondson; sisters Leora Alford, Addie Patterson, and Dora Lee Wilder.

Survivors include his granddaughters, Leslie Edmondson, and Alyssa Edmondson; great-grandsons Issac Edmondson and Daxton Edmondson; brother Pierce (Carol) Edmondson; special daughter Teresa Combs Stewart; A host of nieces, nephews’ other relatives and many friends. The family would like to thank special caretakers, Rosie Girdner and Alexis Fuson; also, a special thanks to George Ann McGaffee and East Jellico Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 1PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Vaughn; music will be provided by Luther Adkins and Vernie Edmondson; burial will follow in Mills cemetery with Isaac Edmondson, Cody Fuson Terry Edmondson and Tristian Hibbard serving as pallbearers. Elmer Jeffers will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends after 6PM on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home until 9PM. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Edmondson family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
