Speed Golden

Speed Benjamin Golden, age 90 of Middlesboro went to his heavenly home on May 9, 2022 at Hazard ARH Medical Center. He was born May 28, 1931 in Pruden, TN to the late James Tom Golden and Dassie Lawson Golden.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Charlotte Garrison Golden; sisters Ethel Golden, Ora McDaniel and Mossie McDuffee; brother James Homer Golden.

Survivors include his sister, Juanita Golden Gray; son Lowell Dean Howard. He was dearly loved by a host of nieces, nephews’ other relatives and family members and friends who were blessed by his guidance and presence. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church; he loved the Lord and he will be sadly missed and live on in our hearts till we meet again on Heavens Shore.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 13, 2022 at 1:30PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Clarence Mason and Rev Jared Smith; burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Middlesboro, KY with Scott Hendrickson, David S. Hendrickson, Sterling D. Daniels Jr., and Sterling Daniels serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends after 12:30 on Friday, May 13, 2022 until the funeral hour at 1:30PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Golden family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
