Dorothy Greene

Dorothy A. Greene, age 86, passed away at her home on Friday, December 3, 2021. She was born October 19, 1935 in Bell Jellico Hollow, Bell Co. KY to the late John Mason and Clarris Noe Mason. Dorothy loved her family so much and everyone loved her. When someone was in need she was a good listener and never made judgement on anyone.

She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Rufus Mason, Ethel Carter, Ruby Kobe, Edward Mason, Bernice Lawson and Pat Harrington

Survivors include her son, Randy Hembree; daughter Tina Warren (Marty Gaut); grandchildren, Ashley Hembree, Autumn Hembree, Dustin Warren, Brandon Warren and Christopher Warren(Courtnie Taylor); great-grandchildren Alexis Warren, Dylan Warren, Carsyn Warren and Carlie Abbott; sisters, Edna Lavin, Nancy Woods and Nancy Thiem,; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; a special thanks to Georgette Hembree for helping Tina and Randy care for Dorothy at home.

The family will receive friends after 12 noon on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home until the funeral hour at 2PM.

Funeral services will be 2PM on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Vincent Smith. Burial will be 4PM on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Mills Cemetery. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
