Mrs. Mary Hendrickson Good Carver, 63, of Pineville, Ky., went home to be with the Lord Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at Tri State Comprehensive Care Center in
Harrogate, Tenn. after a battle with cancer.Born Dec. 4, 1946, in Bell County, Ky.,Mrs. Carver was the daughter of the late John B. and Bessie Aldridge Hendrickson.
Mrs. Mary Hendrickson Good Carver was a member of Faith Word Ministries, and had been a
nurse for over 36 years and an elementary school teacher. She was a
graduate of Bell County High School, Lincoln Memorial University and
Union College.
Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Fred Carver of Pineville; a
son, Marty Wayne Good of Madisonville; daughters, Mrs. April K. Good
Floyd of Anchorage, Alaska and Mrs. Autumn Brianne Carver Lloyd of
Lansing, Mich.; grandchildren, William Quinones of Boston, Mass.,
Jeffrey Good of Somerset, Katherine, Helen and Erin Lloyd of Lansing,
Mich., Dartagnan Floyd of Anchorage, Alaska; brother and sisters,
John Lavan Hendrickson, Mrs. Helen Givens, Mrs. Zelma “Zeke” Woodward,
of Pineville, Mrs. Georgia Banks of Middlesboro; and a host of other
relatives and friends.
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they
shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Monday at Brooks Durham Funeral
Home with Pastor Jim Hyde and Rev. Walter Brock presiding.
Burial will follow in Hendrickson Cemetery in Ferndale. A viewing for the family will be
from 3 until 4 p.m., and Mrs. Carver's family will receive friends
from 4 until 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4 at the Brooks Durham Funeral Home,
Pineville. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Carver family.
