Shirley Hensley

Shirley Collett Hensley age 69 departed this life on December 11, 2010. A resident of Jenson, KY she was born March 22, 1941 at Jenson. A daughter of the late Billie and Margaret Hony Collett. She believed in the Pentecostal faith and was a member of Bradford town House of prayer. She was Dietician and had worked at Pineville Community Hospital and retired from Bourbon Heights, Paris KY.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Earl Dean Hensley Sr., her loving son Earl Dean Hensley Jr., two grandsons Curtis Lawson and Aaron Lefevers; great grandson Brendan Michael Jordan and great granddaughter Layla Mohamed- Lemine; sisters Marie Valentine and Rosalie Carnes; grandparents Gilbert Collett, Ellen Byrge, Marion and Bessie Hony.

Left to mourn her passing are two sons Eugene ( Kathy) Collett and Tony (Carolyn) Lawson; five daughters Vicki Collett Jordan, Terri (Gary) Lefevers, Mechille (Allen) Burke, Meloney Hensley and Angela Hensley Akers along with six stepchildren; three brothers; William (Louise) Collett, John (Janet) Collett and Richard (Kay) Collett; two beloved sisters Imojean Collett and Bessie Anderson; grandchildren Michael Jordan ,Eric (Jennifer) Jordan, Sabrina Jordan, Ashley Jordan, Richard Collett, Katrina Collett, Carolena Lawson, Angela (Shawn) Hollingsworth, Nick Lefevers, Amanda ( Cheikh) Mohamed- Lemine, Jenna and Jared Burke, Brittney Hensley, Demetria (Cody) Dean, Melissa Hensley, Nina Lay, Tiffany Belcher and George Pridemore and step grandson John Pridemore Jr.; five great grandchildren Mackenzie and Aiden Hollingsworth, Joshua Michael Scott Owens, Gareth Chase Caldwell and Alexis Hope Patterson; two lifelong best friends Bessie Lefevers and Mattie Price; special friend Rose Caldwell and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday December 15, 2010, at the Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. William Collett, Rev. John Collett and Rev. Bob Teaney; music will be provided by Michael Jordan, Eric Jordan, Lonnie and Jean Smith and Gilbert Valentine; Pallbearers will be Michael and Eric Jordan, Nick Lefevers, Carl Jordan, Estel Akers, Gareth Caldwell, James Patterson, Cody Dean and Donnie Joe Fuson Jr.; honorary pallbearers will be Lige Cox , Barry Gibson, Johnny Gambrel, Charles Price, Kirby Lay, Ronald Lee Jordan, Allen Burke. Special thanks to Amedyst Home Health and staff at Pineville Community Hospital and Dr. Mohan. Burial will follow in Jenson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 9 Tuesday December 14, 2010 at the Brooks-Durham Funeral Home. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and is honored to be serving the Hensley family.
