Jerry Whiteaker, age 74 of Arjay, KY, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation. Jerry was born on October 28, 1950, in Cary, KY to the late, Flora Wilson.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by brothers, Clyde Jackson and Ray Jackson; sisters Pauline Jackson, Juanita Jackson and Joyce Jones; sisters-in-law, Hazel Swain, Janette Swain, Callie Slusher and Jean Slusher; brothers-in-law, Arthur Swain, Kenneth Swain, Junior Swain and James Swain.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Barbara Sue Whiteaker; stepson, David Emery, nephew, Mike (Rebecca) Jones; niece, Kim Saylor; great-niece, Madison Saylor; great-nephews, Matthew Saylor and Adam Michael Jones; sisters-in-law Matilda Swain, Beatrice Swain, Pauline Swain, Martha Swain; brothers-in-law, Richard Lee Swain and Jimmy Jones. A host of other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 28, 2025, at 2PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Mosley; burial will follow in Farley Cemetery, Flatlick, KY.

The family will receive friends after 6PM on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home until 9PM. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Whiteaker family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
