Johnny Dale Lankford, age 48 of Arjay, KY passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024. He was born on June 22, 1975, in Pineville, KY to Ray Lankford and Elsie Smith. Johnny was a “Jack of all trades” and was one of a kind, he loved his family, chicken fighting, roosters and lived life to the fullest.
Johnny was preceded in death by his daughter, Amber Caldwell; brother, Lonnie Ray Lankford; grandparents, Winnie and Willie Lankford and Betty Laws and Jessie Smith; stepfather, Gary Jones; brother-in-law Dee Dee Dixon; mother-in-law Deloris Duncan.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Juanita Lankford; father, and best friend, Ray Lankford; mother Elsie Smith; daughters April Nicole Connie Lankford, Lindsay Jade Lankford and Chelsie Jo Lankford (Damian Runions) sisters, Samantha Jo Smith (Trey) Bridget Elaine Dixon, Wendy Ogan (Tim) and Roxie Johnson; grandchildren, Presley Faye Nelson, James Tucker Nelson, Gemma Lynn Runions, Hudson Stone Runions; special brother, Trey Sanders; sister-in-law, Emily Hatfield and nephew, Dylan Hatfield.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 8, 2024, at 2PM at Green Camp Pentecostal Church, Arjay KY with Rev. Gary Wagner; music will be provided by Julie Wagner; burial will follow in Lankford Cemetery, Fourmile, KY with Damian Runions, Trey Sanders, Lance Ogan, Michael Asher, Michael Fleming, and Justin West as pallbearers; honorary pallbearers, Curtis Ogan, Curtis Lankford and Cillus Gene Lankford.
The family will receive friends after 5PM on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Green Camp Pentecostal church, Arjay, KY. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Lankford family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
