Joyce Ann Templeton

Joyce Ann Templeton, 81, passed away, on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center, in Hazard, KY. She was born on February 25, 1944, in Pineville, KY to the late, Alonzo and Rosie Bell Vaughn Lowe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Lee Templeton, siblings, James Lowe, Perry Lowe, Ruby Beverly, Dora Hensley, Geraldine Neal, Earl Lowe, Patsy Sue Lowe and Lucy Wells.

Survivors include her children, Vickie L Barnett and Husband Stephen E. Barnett, Kimberly Gayle Miracle and husband Anthony R. Miracle, and son Virgil Lonnie Templeton and wife Dianna Templeton; grandchildren, Amber Lashea Miracle, Jacob Cody Hunley-Templeton, Keisha Brooke Templeton and Alonzo Joshua Lee Templeton; great-grandchild, Riley Templeton. A host of loving nieces, nephews’ other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Custer Watts and Rev. Alan Lord; burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery, Arjay, KY, family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends after 6PM on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home until 8PM. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Templeton family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
