Mary Lola Prater

Mary Lola Hoskins Prater, age 77 of Pineville, KY, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at her home. She was born on October 6, 1947, in Bell County, KY, to the late Richard and Lovinia Hoskins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death, by her husband Hugh George Prater; siblings, Richard Hoskins Jr., Roy Ray Hoskins and Ruth Dell.

Survivors include her daughters, Virginia Lynn Burk, Joann Board and Deanna Benner; sons, Michael Dean Prater and Brian Lee Prater; grandchildren, Trisha Cook, Dale Evans, Bonnie Evans, Johnathan Evans, LeeAnn Lawrence, Randy Lawrence, Sandy Burk, William Prater, DeeDee Prater, Greggory Prater, Kaylee Brown, Keith Brown and Akirra Brown; siblings, Betty Jane Conrad, Orpha Saathoff, Gayle Hoskins and Virgil Hoskins; a host of loving, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services will be on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 3PM at Pinelawn Memorial Garden Cemetery, East Pineville, KY. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Prater family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
