Oma Helton

Oma Brock Helton, age 89 of Kettle Island, KY passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. She was born on July 18, 1935, to the late Joseph and Lucy Brock. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband, Fred Helton; son Ernest Brock; sisters, Vina Smith, Zola Brock, Judy Brock, Alice Mills and Phronia Parker; brothers Jonathan Brock, Dewey Brock and Arville Brock.

She is survived by her children, Ralph (Debbie) Helton and Karen (Robert) Metcalf; grandchildren, Ernie Brock, Marc (Tiffany) Aaron(Kassy) Brittany (Adam) Zackary Brock and Aaron(Hannah) great-grandchildren, Shawn, Kailain, Olivia, Kiley, Luke, Aiden, Keaton, Maizy, Neyland, Koleson, Eason and Hendrix; sister, Mary Middleton; special niece, Angie Jones.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 11AM with Rev. Robert Perkins and Rev. Bobby Grubbs at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home; burial will follow in Judi cemetery, Leslie Co, KY with her grandsons, Ernie Brock, Marc Brock, Aaron Sinkhorn, Adam Smith, Keaton Brock, Aaron England, Luke Smith, Shawn Sinkhorn and Zack Brock serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends after 5PM on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home until 8PM. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Helton family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
