In Loving memory of Clarence C. “Peanut” Peace 86, of Pineville, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born in Colmar, KY on August 18, 1924 the son of the late Westall and Samantha Lee Peace. He had retired from the Pet Dairy Inc. were he had drove a truck for 31 years, Peanut was a baseball standout in his younger days, playing for several local industrial teams such as the Martin Brothers, Middlesboro Tanning Co., and Blue Belle as well as the Harlan Smokies, a farm team for the then Boston Braves in 1949 . Peanut made the all- star team for the Smokies it was this team that featured Johnny Padres as pitcher. Peanut has also served in the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Doris S. Peace.
Survivors include son Glen (Pat) Peace of Evans, GA., grandchildren Gretchen, Gavin and Donovan; sister Patsy (Les) Larsen of Frankfort, KY; brother Fred (Margaret) Peace of Middlesboro, KY; special friends Jack Cornett and Harry Bruner.
