Penny Payne

Penny Warren Payne, age 77 of New Town passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Pineville Community Health Center surrounded by her loving family. Penny was born on November 3, 1947, in Bell County, KY to the late Lee Warren and Emmie Mills Warren Bain. She had been a homemaker and believer in Jesus Christ. Penny loved her family; she was strong and special and will be greatly missed. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edd Payne; son Tim Warren; brothers, E.G Warren, Kim “boo boo” Warren, Wayne Bain and Marshall Bain; sisters Pam Hensley and Phyllis Widener.

Survivors include her children, Eddie Payne (Johnnie) Emmie Brock (Carl) Hazel Green and Debbie Jo Payne; brothers, Lee “Pig” Warren, Dennis Bain, Tim “Ace” Bain, Preston Bain and Ricky Bain; sisters Debbie Price, Tammy Bain and Barbara Landers; special friend, Joellen Caldwell; a host of grandchildren great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home at 2PM with Rev. Michael Padget music will be provided by Lisa Johnson, Clara Warren and Hannah Johnson; burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Garden Cemetery with Christopher, Robert, Eddie, Oakley, Derek and Danny serving as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends after 12 noon on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home until the funeral hour at 2PM. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Payne family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
