Reba Mae Blansit, age 86 of Pineville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 28,1938 to the late John Doyle Burke and Virgie Goldie Cooper Burke.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Nellie Blansit Gilbert; grandson, Jason Howerton; paternal grandparents, Elesandra Burke and Louisa Patience Pensley Burke; maternal grandparents, James Henderson Cooper and Eliza Frances Sprinkle Cooper; sister, Brenda Gross; brother, Johnny Burke; niece, Regina Combs; nephews, Johnny Glenn Edward and Mark Gross.
Reba Mae is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Sharon) Blansit, Mark Blansit, Vickie (Douglas) Inman and Linda (Jesse) Simpson; grandchildren, Melissa Howertown, Julee (James) Widner, Wendy Taylor, Katie Simpson and Merisha; sister, Geneva Burke Combs and Lorraine Burke Hall; great-grandchildren, Marcus Widner, Skyler Jackson, Cameron Howerton, Jake Howerton, Vanessa Simpson, Adam Simpson, Joey Asher, Jocelyn Asher, Scottie Barks, Katelyn Branson, Madison Branson and Nathanial Branson; nieces, Lynne Baker, Debbie Hall, Mahala Hall, Barbara Church; nephews, Ronnie Church, Isaac “Ikie” (Sharon) Church.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 2PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Woody Gilbert; music will be provided by Monarch Church of God Mountain Assembly; burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Garden Cemetery, Middlesboro, KY.
The family will receive friends after 12 Noon on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home until the funeral hour at 2PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home.
