George Rhodes age 74 of Straight Creek, KY passed away on February 9, 2014. He was born August 25, 1939 in Clay County, KY the son of the late Dewey Rhodes and Haley Rhodes. He had served in the United States Navy, was a member Mount Hebron Baptist Church. He loved the Kentucky Wildcats.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister, Martha Sizemore.
Survivors include his wife Margie Rhodes, sons Mike Rhodes and fiance Melissa Mitchell and John Rhodes and wife Jennifer; grandchildren Dalton Rhodes, Reilley Rhodes, Peyton Rhodes, Zachary Mitchell, Andrew Kiewell and Julia Kiewell; sisters Betty Jean Robinson and Lucy Lowe; two special young men whom he loved like sons Colby and Joshua Slusher; special care givers Amedisys Home Health Care, Hospice of the Bluegrass, Dr. Shawn Fugate and Staff at Pineville Community Hospital; and his beloved dog Brownie; a host of other relatives and friends.
