Carol Rice

Carol Lawson Rice, age 61 of Arjay, KY passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at her home. She was born in Dayton, OH to the late Curt and Pauline Patterson Lawson.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Rice; brothers, Curtis Lawson, Farmer Lawson and Clayton Lawson; sister, Charlotte Upton.

Survivors include her husband, Dewey Rice; grandchildren, Destiny Danielle Rice (Philip Flowers), Tony Aaron Asher (Crystal) and Caroline Mckenzie Rice (Mitch) great-grandchildren, Gavin Mills, Oakley Flowers, Xavier Asher and Nevaeh Asher; sisters Linda Layne and Cheryl Jackson.

Funeral services will be 11AM on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Wagner; burial will follow in Rice Cemetery, Arjay, KY with Tony Aaron Asher, Philip Flowers, Cody Rice, Derrick Jackson, Justin Layne, Chris Layne and Clayton Lawson Jr., serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends after 6PM on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Brooks- Durham Funeral Home until 9PM. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Rice family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
