Rosie Baker

Rosie Baker, 89, of Kettle Island, KY, passed away at home on March 6th, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Bell County, KY on July 9th, 1934 to Virgie Helton-Brock and John D. Brock. Rosie met the love of her life, Albert Baker, in 1954, they were happily married for 70 years. Rosie’s family meant the world to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents;  sisters, Lillie Brock,  Lizzie Mills, Judy Baker; brothers, Joseph Brock, Pearl Brock, Farmer Brock, Bert Brock Jr; and infant daughter, Betty Lou Baker.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband; children, Malinda Brock (Clyde Junior Woods), Earl Baker (Margaret Asher), Dennis Wayne, and Joann Baker (Robert Baker);  sisters, Tishie Bailey and Christine Wilson; 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Rosie treasured her time with her children and grandchildren, never failing to lend a helping hand. She was a loving wife, mother, homemaker and follower of the Lord. Rosie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 12 noon at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Hershel Belcher; burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Garden Cemetery, Middlesboro, KY, with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends after 11:30AM on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home until the funeral hour at 12 noon.
