Emma Shepherd

Emma Jean Shepherd, age 85 of Arjay, KY passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Pineville Community Health Care Center. She was born July 18,1936 to the late Dewey Lewis and Miley Sizemore Broughton. Emma Jean had been a homemaker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Willard Shepherd; sons, Bill Shepherd and James Shepherd; daughters Tammy Hatfield, Mary Lou Shepherd and Cathy Shepherd; sons-in-laws Larry Taylor and Paul Cox; daughter-in-law Sheila Shepherd.

Survivors include her sons, John (Melissa) Shepherd and Gary Shepherd; daughters Kim (Arnold) Cox, Miley (Mike) Fishero, Donna Cox and Barb Taylor; special granddaughters, Lyndsey and Madison Shepherd; sister Birdie (Clyde) Reeder; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 2PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. David Asher; burial will follow in Beverly Cemetery at White Mountain with John Shepherd, Arnold Cox, Jake Cox, Joseph Cox, Cody Frazier and Charles Miller serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends after 12 noon on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 until the funeral hour at 2PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Shepherd family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
