James Smith

James Russell Smith, age 78 passed away Monday April 16, 2018 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born July 13, 1939 in Fields, KY to the late William and Delora Smith. He had worked at Berry Steel Corporation in Detroit, Michigan.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Smith; son Willard Smith; sisters Mabel Miracle, Martha Nunn, Myrtle Nunn and Mary Smith North; brothers James Nathan Smith and Joseph Smith; nieces and nephews James Nunn, Ricky Nunn, Libby Nunn, Wanda Roark, Sharon Poore; great-nephew Jimmy Dan; great- niece Cynthia Roark; brothers-in-law Richard Snow, Roy Miracle and Earl Nunn.

Survivors include his sister Ella Oma Snow; brother James Terry ( Donna) Smith; niece Lora Jean Nunn; stepsons Jimmy Collins and Wayne Collins; stepdaughter Sandy Collins; nieces Sandy, Ron, Junior, Billy, Linda, Joyce, Shirley, Gary, Larry, Kayla and Jamie; special friends Nancy Woods, Vincent and Tony Smith.
