Jeanette Swain

Jeanette Swain, age 58 a resident of Straight Creek, passed away July 21, 2020 at her home. She was born July 8, 1962 to the late Willie Swain and Lula Caudill Swain. Jeanette enjoyed reading and was a believer in the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers James Hobert “Buddy” Swain, Douglas McArthur Swain, Junior Swain and Kenneth Ray Swain; sisters May Wynn, Hazel Swain, Callie Slusher and Jean Slusher.

Survivors include her sisters Beatrice Swain of Pineville, Matilda Swain of Middlesboro, Pauline Swain of Pineville, Martha Swain of Middlesboro and Barbara Sue (Jerry) Whitaker of Arjay; brother Richard Lee Swain (Brenda) of Middleboro; nephews Junior Gudger of Middlesboro and William David Emery of Arjay. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Sanders; music will be provided by Eric Jordan and Brenda Swain; burial will follow in Farley Cemetery, Artemus with Mills Creek Baptist Church as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends after 6PM on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home until 9PM. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Swain family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
