James Woolum, age 71 went to his heavenly home on Saturday morning, April 23, 2022 in Pineville, KY. He was born in Arjay, KY on July 12, 1950 to the late Albert and Eula Dean Warren Woolum. James was saved September 19, 2014 and believed in the Baptist faith. James served in the United States Army in Ulm, Germany. He was a coal miner, truck driver and loved to mechanic.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Willie and Larry Woolum; sister Guawana Sue Pile; niece Robin Sue Pile; father and mother-in-law, Harl and Ida Gambrel.
Left to mourn his memory, his wife Bonnie Gambrel Woolum of 49 ½ years of marriage; daughters Janice (Paul Caleb) Gipson and Donna Woolum; grandchildren, Donnie Foister III, Joshua (Madison) Gipson, Brooke Foister (Dawson Mills); uncle Carson Sam Warren; aunt Ina Gail Carnes; brothers-in-law Bobby Pile and Elmer Taylor; sisters-in-law Deborah Woolum and Melva Gambrel along with many special nieces, nephews’, family members and many friends that knew his as “Greasy”
Funeral services will be 3PM on Wednesday April 27, 2022 at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Robbins and Rev. James Polly; music will be provided by, Joshua Gipson, Paul Caleb Gipson, Brian Fields and Steven Simpson. Burial will take place in Brummett Cemetery, Sims Fork with Paul Caleb Gipson, Joshua Gipson, Donnie Foister III, Bo Gambrel, Peyton Gambrel, Garrett Saylor, Dawson Mills, Steven Simpson, Brian Fields and Jaxon Baker serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends after 1PM on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home until the funeral hour at 3PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Woolum family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
The family would like to thank Eastgate Springs of Cincinnati, OH and Mountain View Nursing Home of Pineville for taking such good care of James.
