James York

James York age 65 of Pineville, KY passed away July 30, 2020 at OSU Medical Center. He was born September 23, 1954 to the late Russell and Ola Brock York. James was a member of West Pineville Baptist church and was a believer in the Baptist faith. James loved spending time with his kids and grandchildren, he also loved watching sports especially his Cleveland Browns and Kentucky Wildcats

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents Henry and Carrie Brock and Sherman and Belle York; nephew Ricky Goodin and niece Brittany Goodin.

Survivors include his children, son James York (Sandie Leonard) and daughter Misty York (Mathew Stover) wife Lynn Wilson; stepdaughter Angie Kidd; siblings Charles (Bridgett) York, Billy York and Carolyn Leath (Dan Carmack) grandchildren Johnathon, Kyann and Natale York; step-grandchildren Preston and Hayden Leonard, Jimmy (Ashley) Kidd and Dakota and Trevor Kidd; 2 step-great-grandchildren Olivia and Maddox Kidd; 2 special friends, Tim McCloud and Sam Holcomb.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home at 12 with Rev. Jeremy Sanders; music will be provided by Julie Goodin and Chris Parks; burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Garden Cemetery, Middlesboro with Clayton York, Johnny York, Mathew Stover, Jimmy Trevor and Dakota Kidd as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends after 6PM on Monday, August 3, 2020 until 9PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the York family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
